Pakistānas ziemeļrietumos ceturtdien sabrūkot skolas jumtam, dzīvību zaudējuši 35 cilvēki, pavēstīja varasiestādes.

Bojāgājušo vidū ir 28 bērni un šīs skolas skolotāja.
Vairāk nekā 50 cilvēki ievainoti, pavēstīja slimnīcas "Ready Leading" pārstāvis Mohameds Asims.
Pešāvaras skolas īpašnieks aizturēts, un ir uzsākta izmeklēšana, paziņoja policijas pārstāvis Mians Saīds.
Kad agri no rīta sabruka jumts, klasēs atradās bērni vecumā līdz 12 gadiem, sacīja glābšanas dienesta amatpersona Bilals Faizi. Patlaban nav skaidrs, kāpēc jumts sabruka.
Vietējie mediji ziņo, ka traģēdijas brīdī skolā atradās vairāk nekā 100 bērnu.
Vairāki cietušie ir smagā stāvoklī, un galīgais bojāgājušo skaits varētu pieaugt.
Glābēji pārmeklē drupas, pastāvot bažām, ka sabrukušajā ēkā varētu būt iesprostoti cilvēki.

⭕ Around 30 school children and a female teacher were killed and over 50 injured as the roof of a school in a congested locality of #Peshawar's Dir Colony area collapsed. The city experienced heavy rains last night. The school children were aged 7-13 years and the killed included six girls. There were 110 children in the Al-Khair school when the roof made of steel beams and brick tiles instead of regular concrete. The school was being run by a welfare trust and more class rooms were added in a makeshift house. @KPRescue1122 has completed its operation and declared the rest of the structure unsafe and nearby residents told to evacuate. According to preliminary report initially roof of one room collapsed and as nearby people rushed for rescue the addd weight and movement led to collapse of another roof. An investigation has been ordered that would submit its report within 24 hrs. #Pakistan #KhyberPakhtunkhwa
